This project was created for an Articulate Interactive Video challenge. I wanted to explore how playful, unexpected media, like dancing furries and house music, could still deliver purposeful learning moments.
The goal was to push the boundaries of what “interactive video” can be, proving that engagement doesn’t always need to come from a serious scenario. Sometimes, fun and curiosity are the best teachers.
Articulate StoryLine 360 - Interactive Video - Cue Point Triggers - Audio Design
The video uses stock footage of dancing furries synced to upbeat house music. At key moments, cue points pause the video and display clickable pop-ups with “Did You Know?” facts about the origins and structure of house music.
I focused on timing, rhythm, and flow, ensuring each interaction matched the beat and tone of the music. By combining humour, pop culture, and crisp sound design, I turned a short clip into a playful learning experience that still models interactivity principles.
This build reminded me that learning design doesn’t always need to be literal. When you mix curiosity, rhythm, and joy, even something as unconventional as a furry dance party can demonstrate sound instructional principles.
